The Hubble Telescope

The Hubble Space Telescope is a space-based observatory that sits high above the distorting effects of the Earth's atmosphere. It was named after astronomer Edwin Hubble, and was launched into orbit back in 1990, via the Space Shuttle Discovery. The Hubble travels around the Earth at 5 miles per second, completing a full orbit every 97 minutes.

Anyway, Pastor Dave put up a few pics on screen for us today, stuff that I've already seen (most of us), but the images are so breath-taking and profound. I'm posting just a few of my faves here.

The above one is what we had glossed over at one my church bible studies a year ago. Pastor Dave showed this one, among many others, today.
